Perseverare regala sempre grandi gioie.

Operation Wolf leggo dovrebbe andare sulla Port1. Hai provato?

Sega 3050 Light Phaser Adaptor Mk2
==================================
by Nicholas Coplin (c) 2000

There are several schemes for configuring the lightgun to be compatible
with existing software. The two most popular methods are outlined below.
The main differences are relating to what the trigger activates.
In one scheme, the trigger simply grounds Joy#1 (the lightpen method).
In another scheme, the trigger pulls the POT AY signal "high". There are
probably even more schemes, so let me know if you find them.

I've catered for both schemes by fitting a switch on the side of the
light phaser to control whether the trigger is supplied GND or 5V, and a
second switch on the adaptor to select whether trigger goes to Joy1 or
POT AY. This circuit could be improved by using a double-pole double-throw
switch on the gun itself to switch both connections simultaneously.

Sega C64

5 7
6 1 or 5 (see notes**)
7 6
8 8

Notes:
** 1) If Sega Switch wired to Ground signal, then connect to C64 Pin1
Method is Light Pen compatible, eg Micro Illustrator
2) If Sega Switch wired to 5V signal, then connect to C64 Pin5
Method is Light Gun compatible, eg Operation Thunderbolt
3) The "button" with GEOS's LightPen Driver is supposedly Pin 5

Notes regarding Light-Gun Operation on C64

0) Convertion of a Sega 3050 Light Phaser for a CBM port:
+5V to Joy Pin 7
GND to Joy Pin 8
Trigger (N.O. micro-switch) to Joy Pin 1 (UP)
LP to Joy Pin 6

1) LIGHTGUN.PRG is for a C64 only, it will probably work with the C128
in native mode if the VIC screen is in use. It will probably also
work on the Vic20, but you will need to change screen pokes and also
peeks for the LightPen position address in the VIC-I chip.
I know nothing about the TED used in the C16/Plus4, but it does seem
to have a Light Pen trigger so program modifications should be
possible to get the light gun to work.
2) Light pens and light guns will require calibration on an individual
basis. This is because each light sensing element is slightly
different and thus the time between trigger and latch differs. A
simple calobration routine is used in LIGHTGUN.PRG where the screen
centre is identified, and max/min limits are defined from this
assuming +/-80 for X resolution (1/2 real pixel size) and +/-100 for
Y resolution (1:1 pixel resolution).
3) Many programming sources recommend position be based on a sample of
three consecutive readings (three used in LIGHTGUN.PRG)
4) On a C64/C128 the Light Gun must be fitted to port#1 as this is the
only one which connects to the LP trigger. As this port also is used
for keyboard scanning the keyboard buffer fills with garbage, so you
will need to clean the keyboard buffer regularly and before
requesting user inputs.
