Description:
Open the door to the manor house on Ashcroft Farm...
and step into a world of elegance, deception and murder!
From the crystal chandelier in the dining room
and the magnificent fieldstone fireplace in the main
ballroom to the sumptuous leather-volumed library,
you re taken aback by the timelessness of this cen-
tury-old southern mansion and its grounds.
Everywhere there are antiques and mementos
of Ashcroft's illustrious equine history. Here, some of
the nation's greatest thoroughbreds have been sired
... Mr. Cyrus, Stampede, Veronicana and others.
But on this Halloween night, there's something
different about Ashcroft's atmosphere. It's murderous.
You're a newspaper reporter and a friend of the
hostess. You've come to party with the world's most
celebrated personalities: politicians, entertainers,
royalty, power brokers and the idle rich. But now
the evening has been spoiled by a deadly interloper
. ..and fingers are pointing at you.
You have hut a few hours before you're arrested.
Fail to prove your innocence, and you'll be convicted
of murder and imprisoned. There's precious little
time to unmask the homicidal guest - or guests. And
if you fail, you've got a lifetime to ponder your mis-
takes in a maximum security jail cell at the Maryland
Slate Penitentiary.
Go ahead—enjoy the party!

You are the Central Mentality on an advanced semi-automated planet.
You were supposed to sleep - in limited cryogenic suspension - for the next 500
years, 20 miles beneath the surface of the planet, while the great Filtering
Computers maintained all surface systems. But the computers have taken you out
of suspension because something is terribly wrong: the weather has become brutal,
food production is dangerously low, and the Transportation System is
malfunctioning, causing unprecedented accidents and casualties. The planet is
in chaos.

riders. Trick out your bike by adjusting the fork angle, tire pressure,
engine dynamics, suspension, and gear ratio to get the best possible
performace. (Different bike configurations are needed to be successful
on different tracks.)
Racing dynamics are also valid: Your
bike can stall, get its wheel or fork bent out of shape, etc. You also
have complete control over squaring off (negotiating a corner), the
mastery of which is required to do well in the game.

Switchblade
Hardware: AMSTRAD-CPC
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Switchblade
Year: 1990 gremlin Graphics
Genre: Adventure - Arcade 2D
Lang: English
Disks: 1
Version: Commercial, joy port 1
Description:
As Hiro, last of the Blade Knights, your task is to find the lost pieces of the
mystical Fireblade and free the world from the tyranny of the evil Havok. What
could be a fairly dreary task is enlivened by the superb implementation of an
otherwise fairly standard platform format. Whether using your fists or one of
the many weapons lying around the dungeon, the sliding power bar makes
performing different moves simple and elegant. The difficulty is also pitched
just right. Graphically, things are spot-on; the detailed MODE 1 graphics
provide a suitably gloomy ambience. A great tune plays throughout too - a
relatively rare thing in CPC games. There are a couple of niggles (Hiro's
jumping can be slightly clumsy at times), but generally this is one of the most
professional titles ever released for the CPC, and a cartridge
version is also available for Plus machines.

One player controlled a helicopter and the other a jeep, with the jeep
transforming into a boat when the vehicles passed over water. As well
as a host of blaster fodder the game also included a mid-level enemy
inspired by the "Goose" enemy from the earlier title Silkworm. Pieces
of this enemy would fly onto the screen and assemble into one vehicle
before commencing to fire at the players' vehicles. When destroyed the
"goose" would drop power-ups.
