Genre: Adventure - Graphics & Text
Lang: German
Disks: 2

Description:
Das Stundenglas (“The hourglass”) is the first of three interactive fiction games
by German developer Weltenschmiede (the others being Die Kathedrale and
Hexuma - Das Auge des Kal). It is entirely in German.
Upon jumping into a mysterious chest, you arrive in a beautiful fairy-tale world.
Yet the serenity is spoiled: the enchanted hourglass that controls the flow of
time is lost, and the world has been split into two realities. Both planes are
the very same land, but certain buildings and people exist only in one of the
two zones.

Stunt car racer
Hardware: C64
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Stunt Car Racer
Year: 1989 MicroStyle
Genre: Raging - Misc
Lang: English
Description:
you in division four with the other down-and-outs, driving round 'The
Little Ramp', a circuit that your grandmother would laugh at. Soon you
get the hang of the car, the kick of the turbo, and its dubious
handling round certain corners. Promoted to division three, things get
a little tougher with 'The Stepping Stones', a track with more holes in
than the M25 and 'The Big Ramp', which contains a jump that you can
only make if travelling at full speed. Stress cracks in your car now
appear with more regularity, but these are fixed after every race. The
big holes appearing in the chassis after bad falls are more of a
problem - they can't be fixed until season's end. And so, if you make
it, you're in the top-flights of divisions two and one, with circuits
like 'The Drawbridge' (cross the drawbridge when it's going down or you
get shot into the air) and 'The Ski Jump' (quite literally a ski-jump
in the middle of the circuit). Fall off one of these circuits and it'll
take the track side cranes a long time to get you back on, assuming
you're still in one piece.
Stunt Car Racer is a game that truly deserves to be called a
'classic'. The graphics are filled 3D vectors, something that the C64
isn't usually too hot with, but this game is still fast, and any
apparent slowness is soon forgotten whilst you try and navigate the
perilous circuits! The gameplay is what really shines though - it's
utterly infectious, even after all these years.

Version: Commercial, OCS, PAL, WHD
Description:
You weren's no racing rookie. You'd served your time on the old formula 1
tracks, before the cars got too quick for 'em and they all got shut down
after the 2006 season...
What was it they said again? Oh yeah... SAFETY. You'd never managed to
work that one out. Hell, everybody knew the only reason people went to
those old F1 races in the '90s was on the off chance of seeing some
Hash-Ecsted sucker silch himslef against a kevoprene guard rail. The geeks
up in CenCom who'd banned Formula 1 were just riled because they weren's
getting their nice little rake-off from the race promoters. JEEZ...WHAT A
JOKE.
Now, here you were: your number had come up, all the bribes has paid
off, and you were on the Stunt Car circuit at last. You'd come through the
last days of Formula 1 more or less in one piece. The left leg was still
rated at 76 percent efficiency the last time you'd been able to afford to
have it checked out. Sure, that Australian shunt in '02 had re-rated your
right leg down to 35, but you could manage that... Anyway, if the cramps
came back, the accelerator pedal was as good a place as any to rest it
against, heh heh. One thing was for certain: the synthplast foot on the end
of that gnarly ol' right leg would'nt be going anywhere near the brake
pedal in a div four stunt race.

Titolo originale:Stunt Car Racer

Genre: Racing - Stay on Track
Lang: English
Disks: 1
Version: Commercial, key
Description:
Race a stunt car around eight tracks and against eleven other competitors in a
league consisting of four divisions. You can practice on all of the tracks, and
you'll certainly need it if you want to stand any chance of completing the
required three laps of each race. You are also supplied with turbo boost in each
race, but you should use it carefully, as the track takes its toll on your car,
and if you land on the track at too high a speed, you will damage your car
permanently. What sets this game apart is the graphics; the track is viewed in
true 3D and the frame rate is quite fast - well, for a CPC. The sound effects
are pretty good, too, and racing around the tracks is great fun - but you will
need a lot of practice to master the toughest tracks!

Stunt car racer

Titolo originale:Stunt Car Racer
year: 1989 MicroStyle
Genre: Racing - Misc
Description:
Game is divided to four divisions. Each division has two rival drivers
who you race against for promotion to higher and more challenging
divisions. The amount of tracks is not very numerous, for there are
only two tracks for each division. This is particularly problematic
since the tracks have to be driven several times before the winner of
the season is declared. This very quickly becomes monotonous. Initial
tracks are quite easy, while in higher divisions the tracks become a
lot more challenging. Luckily you are allowed to practice races as many
times as you like before starting a season.
If you don’t care much for textured graphics, stunt car driver is
your choice. Tracks consist of only three colours: ground, sky and
black lines on the track (that give you a little hint in which
direction you are driving). Lack of texture or surface can sometimes
confuse you when determining where you are about to land after a high
jump or how you found yourself in the air in the first place. This
problem becomes even more apparent in later races that are very
complicated and difficult to drive.
Sounds are not very complicated either: what you get is the car
engine sound and a beep that indicates that car is taking damage. The
sound of the car engine can be somewhat hypnotic.

This addictive side scrolling platformer indicates how addictive some
Commodore 64 games can be!
As Stuntman Seymour, you are limited to five lives during gameplay. Those
lives need to be sacred because it gets tricky close to stages 3-4.
The music side of Stuntman Seymour is fantastically enriched with
the SID chip which brings a totally nostalgic tune, a tune which is
repetitive, yet amazing!

Oh no! Corrupt movie moguls have stolen your latest film scripts! You play as
international superstar Seymour and must jump around various film sets, shooting
and throwing bombs at the baddies, and find your way to the end of each stage,
to do battle with the big boss and retrieve your scripts.
Stuntman Seymour, is merely average. The graphics are bland and blocky, the game is
flickery, jerky and slow beyond belief and each level has the same end boss!
However, it has some pretty addictive music, is not too difficult, and despite its
flaws, it's quite fun, with each well designed level based on a different movie genre.
