Description:
As Luke Skywalker, you must take on the military might of the Imperial Death
Star in your X-Wing. Viewed from a first person perspective, you first engage
Darth Vader and his fleet of TIE fighters, shooting them and their fireballs to
protect your limited shields. Then on to the military station's surface dodging
and destroying its defensive turrets, and finally into the trench, avoiding the
various protrusions and obligatory fireballs until you are finally able to
attempt to launch your torpedoes down the exhaust shaft to blow the Empire's
pride and joy to kingdom come. Failure results in a restart - thankfully, the
difficulty is configurable. A brilliant, albeit simple looking game that's a
must for every Star Wars fan.

Titolo originale:Star Wars
Year: 1988 Broderbunt
Genre: Shooter - 3D
Input: joy, key, mouse
Graphics: CGA
descritpion:
Like the original arcade game, you play the part of Luke Skywalker
in his X-Wing fighter. You'll take on Tie Fighters in outer space, zoom
through the Death Star's various defenses, and try to reach the
infamous exhaust port in hopes of blowing the Death Star into a billion
little pieces. You start off with a quick 2 level first mission. After
that, you go through a 3 level second mission, a more varied 3 level
third mission, and from then on, you just get more things thrown at you
without really having anything new added to the levels. And yes, you
can still get a bonus if you “use the Force”.
Graphically, the game retains much of the original arcade game. Due
to the lessened PC color palette of the time, Vektor Grafix shifted the
colors a bit from the arcade. The lines used in this game are fatter
than the arcade originals due to the much lower resolution of PC
monitors at the time, but the shapes and ships still look very much
like they did in the arcade. The Tie Fighters went through a little
redesign for the pod where the pilots sit, but you can tell the ships
are still undoubtedly Tie Fighters. Also, the 3D scrolling is smooth,
though there is some chugging when the screen gets more crowded. So on
this front, the game holds its own.

Star wars dark forces
Hardware: PC
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Star Wars - Dark Forces
Year: 1995 LucasArts
Genre: FPS
Description:
Star Wars: Dark Forces is a first-person shooter video game developed and
published by LucasArts. It was released in 1995 for DOS and Apple Macintosh, and
in 1996 for the PlayStation. The storyline within the Dark Forces> is set in the
Star Wars fictional universe and follows the character Kyle Katarn. Katarn is a
mercenary working on behalf of the Rebel Alliance. He discovers the Empire's
"Dark Trooper Project", which involves the building of powerful robot soldiers.
The player takes control of Kyle Katarn; an Imperial officer turned
mercenary, now hired by the Rebel Alliance. After a prologue mission
where he steals the Death Star plans from a remote facility, he is
tasked with investigating the sudden destruction of a hidden Rebel
base. This leads him to face off against Imperial General Rom Mohc and
the various iterations of his "Dark Troopers" - cybernetic soldiers
with the armor and firepower to turn the tide of the war.
Dark Forces uses the Jedi game engine, which was developed especially for the
game. The engine adds gameplay features to the first-person shooter genre which
were uncommon at the time of release. These features include level designs with
multiple floors and being able to look in all directions.

Rebel Base on Hoth from the attack shown in the Empire Strikes Back, and finally
ends in the assault on the Death Star of the film, with the player taking the

Star wars tie fighter
Hardware: PC
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Star Wars - TIE Fighter
Year: 1994 Softgold
Genre: Simulation - flight
Description:
The game begins soon after the Battle of Hoth. The player assumes the role of a
rookie TIE fighter pilot. Despite playing on the side of the Star Wars saga's
"villain", the player's role is somewhat sympathetic, not only because he lives
in fear under the shadow of Darth Vader and other unforgiving superiors, but also
because the game's portrayal of the Empire—dictated, of course, by the player's
superiors—focuses on its role as a guardian of order. The main character of
TIE Fighter is Maarek Stele, although his name is only revealed in the official
strategy guide as well as a novella entitled The Stele Chronicles that came with
the initial release versions of the game.
Instead of constantly fighting against the Rebels, many missions deal with the
elimination of pirates and other criminals, as well as civil wars, traitorous
Imperials, and otherwise maintaining order in the galaxy.
In addition to the standard mission briefing, there is a secondary
briefing available in some missions, given by a mysterious figure who
belongs to the Emperor's Inner Circle. This person briefs the pilot on
the secondary and optional objectives. Successfully completing them
doesn't alter the scenario or the overall success of the mission, but
initiates the pilot in an Imperial "secret society." These secondary briefings
also reveal significant plot points, such as evidence of Admiral Harkov's treason.
The story evolves in seven different systems, separated into seven tours of duty
of four or more missions each.
The original game ends with the player preventing a coup against Emperor
Palpatine and being personally rewarded during a large ceremony reminiscent of
the Yavin celebration at the end of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

Star wars x-wing
Hardware: PC
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Star Wars - X-Wing
Year: 1993 LucasArts
Genre: Simulation - flight
Description:
The story that drives the missions is linear, and consists of three
campaigns of varying length. Interaction with other pilots occurs
within the missions as players are able to issue wingman commands to
the AI pilots. Progress through the game depends on fulfilling each
mission's primary objectives. Failure on a mission results in one of
three outcomes: death, capture or retry.
Players assume the role of a Rebel pilot (implied to be Keyan Farlander during
the spaceflight actions of the Rebellion before and during the Battle of Yavin.
The player must complete missions ranging from simple dogfights with Imperial
starfighters, to the escort or capture of freighters or capital ships>, to
attacks on enemy convoys and capital ships. Dogfighting is designed to resemble
the free-wheeling duels of World War I and World War II, but the game also
offers the challenge of managing power resources (lasers, deflector shields,
and engines), commanding wingmen, and effectively using a variety of
weapons (laser cannons, ion cannons, proton torpedoes, and concussion
missiles).
The storyline evolves through three tours of duty of 12 missions each
(except the third tour, which has 14 missions).
