Lords of Midnight: The Citadel is the second and final sequel to the classic
ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC game The Lords of Midnight by Mike

The sequel departs quite radically from its predecessors, abandoning the previous
installments' turn-based movement and opting for real-time 3D movement.
The story of the game is a direct continuation of Doomdark's Revenge. Morkin's
father, Luxor the Moonprince, who by now is an old man, sets off on a quest to
find the fabled Eye of the Moon. During his quest he is captured by Boroth
Wolfheart and imprisoned in a Citadel. The main quest is to aid Morkin in finding
and freeing his captured father.

Lords of the Realm is a turn-based strategy computer game published and developed
by Impressions Games. It was first released on June 15, 1994, and is the first
game in the >Lords of the Realm series.
The game takes place in a medieval setting, with several characters warring for
the right to be either King of England, or King of Germany. Players manage their
armies as well as their land and population, build and lay siege to castles, and
generally attempt to crush their enemies.
Battles between armies take place in a real-time environment, similar to
real-time strategy games, with players able to control individual units as well as control
them as a group, during which units would group into formations.
Players may also choose to allow the computer to determine the outcome
of the battle.

Description:
Lords of the Realm II is very different from many medieval strategy games. The
game has a strong medieval feel, but it is historically based. There is no magic,
and unlike many strategy games, it has no technology tree. Perhaps its most
remarkable feature is the need to carefully manage food, population and happiness
levels in order to build population levels whilst avoiding Malthusian meltdowns.
The large number of both random and player-generated events that can affect
province happiness provides an almost constant level of challenge for the player,
which is part of the reason the game is regarded as a classic by many players.
There are two major game types that the developers merged into a successful
hybrid. The first is turn-based resource management. Players grow crops,
accumulate resources, manufacture weapons, manage armies, build and lay siege to
castles, and attempt to conquer their enemies. The battles are real time, with
players able to control units individually or in group formations. Players may
also allow the computer to calculate the outcome of the battle.
Compared to the original, Lords of the Realm II is much more robust, with better
graphics and music, and an improved management system.

Somewhere deep in the vast and rugged Superstition Mountains
of Arizona, there lies hidden a gold mine of immense richness. It
was allegedly discovered by a prospector named Jacob Waltz, an old
German immigrant who wandered the Superstitions during the early
1880's. He claimed the mine was so rich that the gold could be
removed with only a knife.
Waltz died on October 25, 1891, but he left behind many clues
as to the location of his fabulous mine. One clue was to look for
a pointed peek. Many people believe this peak is the landmark
known today as Weaver's Needle. He also claimed his mine was
located where no miner would ever look. Many old maps have
A surfaced purporting to show the location of Waltz's treasure, but
none have proven genuine.
Today the Superstition Mountains continue to draw those who
seek the fabled wealth of the King of precious metals. And
Weaver's Needle still stands guard over Jacob Waltz's tantalizing

"Interactive Action Adventure Movie" where you must travel through time
solving puzzles and find the man who is plotting to kill your ancestors.
Standard graphic adventure game fare with small animated movies contained within
scenes. Unique first-person semi-animated movement between locations.
The game is also played from different perspectives. So while you’re
in the ship, it’s all in the first person’s perspective. You will also
note, that the ship does not include real photage and it is 3D. The
outdoor sequences, however, are all acted out, are all in 2D and are
all in the third person’s perspective.
The sounds are quite good too, although there’s no speech. The music
will help you get that odd feeling of disorientation at first and it
will also support the action sequences when there are some.
