Description:
In the main fighting screens, you control Daniel, the
figure in white, with a joystick in port1 (th non-mouse port). To defeat each
enemy you must reduce his strength to zero by scoring hits on any part of his
body. Some attacks are more effective than others - and usually more difficult
to execute. You will progress from enemy to enemy, each one more skilful, until
you lose to one of them. Your game is then over.

Description:
Back in the days when most games were simple ideas, a game came along
that seemed to stand above the rest. That game was Karateka, programmed
by Jordan Mechner. Featuring an actual storyline (mostly unheard of
outside of adventure or role-playing games of the day) and cutscenes
(yes, cutscenes), the game stood out as a memorable experience.
The woman you love has been kidnapped by an
evil overlord and it's up to you to save her. You climb the
mountainside where the overlord's hideout is, and battle opponents one
at a time in order to reach the inner sanctum.
As the game progresses, more cutscenes appear to give you an update
on what's going on deep down in the enemy's stronghold. The enemies get
harder as you continue, increasing the challenge.
Featuring wonderful music and sound effects, the game truly captures the imagination,
even twenty years later! The creator of the game later went on to create the
innovative Prince of Persia series of games, but this game is probably better in
the end.
And speaking of the end, this game also has something rarely seen in
the early days... more than one ending.

Description:
Up at the top of a mountain in Japan, the evil lord Akuma has captured the
beautiful princess Mariko. You, as a karate fighter, make your way to Akuma's
temple and battle his soldiers one at a time, taking them on in one-to-one
karate. Each time you kill a soldier, you run forwards and get that bit closer
to Mariko, before finally reaching her dungeon cell and confronting Akuma
himself. The first few fighters are fairly easy to kill, but once you're inside
the temple, it becomes harder. This is a conversion of a game that was released
years before the CPC version, and one might regard it as a forerunner to the
excellent Prince of Persia - certainly, the graphics and presentation
are very similar indeed.

The game begins with an impressive graphic of the fortress of the evil Akuma.
Akuma is holding the lovely Princess Mariko. The player must defeat the guards
of the castle and must eventually face Akuma himself in order to rescue the princess.
Mechner adeptly used character gestures and musical cues to evoke the game's
immersive atmosphere. The animations nearly match the quality of the ones seen
in Mechner's Prince of Persia five years later.

Description:
Kargon takes place in fantasy land far, far away, where the good King Kargon is
killed by his twin brother in order to claim the throne. However, the demons the
king's brother Lo-Dama had conjured and ordered to kill his brother murder him
as well. With lack of another relative as a successor, a tournament is proclaimed
to find a mighty wizard which will become the new king. The game starts at the
point where only 10 participants are in the tournament, and the player then
tries to defeat the last remaining rivals in up to ten rounds.
Kargon can described as Dungeon Master meets Dynablaster. The wizards fight in a
dungeon filled with traps and monsters, which is displayed in the style of
Dungeon Master, i.e. ego perspective, 90-degree turns and field-by-field movement.

Con la mancanza di un sucessore al trono, viene proclamato un torneo per
trovare il prode mago che diventerà il nuovo re.
Il gioco inizia a questo punto dove ci sono solo 10 partecipanti e
il giocatore prova a sconfiggere gli ultimi rivali in 10 turni.
Kargon può essere descritto come un Dungeon Naster che incontra Dynablaster.
Il mago combatte in um sotterraneo, pieno di trappole e monstri, con una visuale
alla Dungeon Master.

The game puts the bulging-muscled, fire-breathing, ex-circus strongman
east-Russian hero on a quest through nine different levels to search for
treasures. However, between him and the treasures were several horrendous
monsters, including sword wielding monks, djinn, foot hopping giant fish
and ostrich-riding skeleton warriors.
In a way, Karnov was far ahead of it’s time – many games nowadays let
you play as heroes of less than upstanding moral character. The game
runs much slower than the arcade original, and doesn’t look nearly as
pretty – but that’s a given, considering the limitations of the C64.

In the realm of Wonderland, strongman Karnov is on a quest to retrieve the
legendary treasure of Babylon from the dragon Ryu. However, lying between our
hero and his prize is a land filled with monsters in all shapes and sizes;
ghouls, ghosts, demons, gargoyles, golems, skeletal warriors, dinosaurs and
more. Thankfully, Karnov is a tough nut, and is capable of breathing fire. A
plethora of bonuses that upgrade our bald-headed muscleman are also available as
he makes he way across the landscape battling the unpleasant locals hell bent on
his destruction. Sound and music are probably the best aspect, as the visuals
are somewhat of a poor Spectrum quality and the sprites scroll awkwardly.
