Jack the Nipper is a platform game that contains 50 screens packed with action.
Jack is an evil and wicked toddler. You play Jack and you have to cause as
much trouble without being penalized for it. To see how naughty you've
been there is a naughtyometer at the bottom of the screen.
To
cause some mayhem Jack must jump on things, pick up objects and drop
those at places where they cause the most trouble to grown-ups.
The various objects can be found all over town and at Jack's home.
The game starts at Jack's home but Jack can walk out the door and go
into town to, for example, blow up the police station, kill all flowers
or free prisoners. Try to get a credit card and do some serious
shopping!

You play a toddler named Jack, and the aim is to cause as much havoc as
possible! Starting out in your bedroom, you must roam the town, creating chaos
whenever you can. And the more trouble you cause, the higher your naughtyometer
goes, the aim being to get it as full as possible. But beware, because all the
grown-ups are there to give you a good spanking. A truly great and original
game; the graphics are wonderful and detailed, the music and sound effects are
good and catchy, and the challenge is just right - Jack has many lives as well
as a sizeable energy bar, so games last a good while. A true classic, and better
than its sequel.

Naughty toddler Jack finds himself in Africa, with the aim of
progressing through 192 screens of platform action. He starts with nine
lives but no weapons, although a supply of coconuts to lob is close at
hand.
The jungle is full of snakes, rhinos, birds and all
manner of other creatures, all of which must be avoided or killed -
remember that their attack paths are pre-programmed, and the trajectory
of your coconuts is quite limited. Travelling through the levels
involves, amongst other things, ladders, mine carts, trees, ropes and
logs.

Description:
Jack is back... and he’s angry! You’ve been parachuted into the jungle, wearing
nothing but your nappy, and you must fight wild animals (that wear sunglasses!),
throwing coconuts at them. This sequel is really funny. First, it is huge and
the graphics are really different from one area to the next - but Spectrum port
syndrome strikes again! Anyway, there are many places to explore and it’s easy
to get lost in this game. It’s rather difficult, too, and you must move very
carefully (even though, like cats, you’ve got nine lives). Eventually, the
action is pleasant and... well, this is a very good platform game!

Description:
In 1888, in the East End of London, the infamous Jack the Ripper
baffled the police and terrified the city with his brutal murders. The
Ripper was never caught, and the Ripper Murders have never been solved.
You have a chance to do what Scotland Yard, the press, and dozens of
books have never been able to do: bring Jack the Ripper to justice.
This game is the ultimate challenge for a desktop detective, as you
chase the Ripper through London's East End. From the dark and
foreboding cemetery to the Tower of London, you will question dozens of
witnesses (and suspects) and examine vital evidence, each bringing you
a step closer to the murderer. At Scotland Yard you can sift through
the evidence, and then from the comfort of your private study you can
compare your notes and unravel the crime. The clock is always ticking,
and every minute either brings you closer to solving the case or pulls
the Ripper further away from your clutches.
While the background pictures are detailed and provide a good
atmosphere, the lack of sound and music brings a small note of
disappointment. While more of it could have added to the feel of the
game, the lack of it does not take too much away.
