Description:
Infection is an PD Othello-type game. Starting in the corners, players take it
in turns to place a marker of their colour on the grid. An existing marker
can be moved two places away, or a new marker can be created within one space of a
player's existing marker. If the marker is placed directly next to an
opponent's marker, it will take over that marker's position. The game
finishes either when the board is full (the player with the most
markers wins) or there is only one player with markers left on the
board (having taken over all other markers).

Infection è un gioco PD tipo Othello.
Iniziando dagli angoli, i giocatore devono nel loro turno piazzare un pedina
del loro colore sulla griglia.
Un esistente pedina, può essere spostata due volte in avanti o può essere
creato una nuova entro uno spazio di un esistente pedina del giocatore.
Se la pedina è messa direttamente dopo la pedina dell'avversario, prenderà la sua
posizione.
Il gioco finisce quando la tavola è piena o se c'è un solo giocatore con le
pedine a sinistra della tavola.

Description:
In the distant future man has colonised the stars. Many surface installations
and subterranean complexes have been constructed at distant, off-world
locations, on hundreds of planets and moons.
On one of these moons is the top secret colony Alpha II - a remote scientific
community engaged in studying possible life forms on a nearby planet. One day
the transmissions from Aplpha II begin to indicate that things have gone
terribly wrong: an alien intelligence has infiltrated the base and is slowly
exterminating the colonists. Later messages tell of the computer systems
going haywire and becoming hostile, and of discoveries of strange eggs.
Suddenly, without warning, the transmissions stop.
Something needs to be done fast. To assemble a task fleet would take too long.
Only one man is close enough to deal with the threat. That man is you (A-Team
music in background. PL). As an agent of the Interplanetary Federation you
have seen many dangerous missions completed, but this one is more potentially
hazardous than any of your previous assignments. It is so dangerous that it
may well be your last!

In un futuro lontano, l'uomo ha colonizzato le stelle. Molte installazioni
in superficie e complessi sotterranei sono stati costruiti in distanti locazioni
su centinaia di pianeti e lune.
Su una di queste lune c'è la colonia segreta di Alpha II - una comunità remota
scientifica che sta studiando le forme di vita su un pianeta vicino.
Un giorno la trasmissione da Alpha II inizia con l'indicare che che qualcosa
è andato storto: un alieno intelligente si è infiltrato nella base e lentamente
ha sterminato la colonia.
Gli ultimi messaggi dicono che i computer sono in tilt, diventano ostili e
si scoprono delle strane uova.
Improvvisamente, senza allarme, la trasmissione finisce.
Bisogna velocemente fare qualcosa. Per assemblare una flotta ci vuole troppo
tempo.
Solo un uomo è abile a trattare con una tale minacia.

The Alpha 2 research colony on Xelos has been invaded by aliens, wiping
out the crew and laying 167 of their eggs, all waiting to hatch into a
lethal alien infestation. Superhero Kal Solar is the only one who can
prevent a catastrophe, and that's where you come in.
The game is viewed in 3D from Solar's perspective, with a full HUD built into his
helmet showing direction, health and supplies. Other HUDs also allow
you to check whether the current air is breathable (you have limited
oxygen), as well as one built into your Jetpack.
There are two movement modes, one of which allows you to pan the view and the other
allows you to shoot. Objects have to be picked up and used, computers
operated, and an infra-red kit located and used. To win the game you
will have to destroy all the eggs, and then shut the compound down and
escape in time.
