Also known as Pro Tennis Tour
Endorsed by famous tennis player, Jimmy Connors, this game offers tournament and
single play on multiple court types.
Using crosshairs, aim your ball to the other side of the court and hope you
hit where you want. If you are lucky, you might even score an Ace. If
not, you will need to be ready to return your opponent's return. Run
back and forth as you try to keep hitting the ball over the net until
your opponent misses, or you do. When you hit the ball, you will want
to attempt changing the direction and speed of the ball to throw your
opponent off balance. This is the real challenge of any tennis game.

Great Courts 2 is the sequel to Great Courts.
This tennis simulation has some nice features. First you create your player. You
can distribute some character points (for example: speed, forehand,
backhand, etc.) like a role-playing game. These skills will raise after
a few winning matches. Then you must select the tournaments you will
play. There are all ATP tournaments for choice- you can also play the
Davis Cup. After every tournament you get some price money. There you
must play the single and double matches.
In training you can also play against a ball machine or against a friend.
It's also possible to play 1 against 2.

Description:
Like most tennis games, Great Courts 2 is played in a third person perspective.
Great Courts 2 graphics are very good, and they show great improvement from the
first game of the series.
One of the best aspects of this game is its gameplay. You can
control your player without much trouble, but you'll need to practice
in order to respond to the balls of your opponents. Great Courts 2
allows you to develop your character's playing skills, such as speed
and backhand, by investing points in those skills. After a few games,
you'll get more points to spend, and you will play better.

Great escape

Description:
Rhe Great Escape is an isometric action-adventure game.
Gather round, kids, and listen to grandpa tell of his time as a prisoner of
war in Germany. ‘Twas back in 1942. Those were rough times, lads. Rough
times. Been shot down in my plane. Darn shame it was, it being a good
plane and all. Next I know, there’s this group of German soldiers
standing round me, and off we go to a P.O.W. camp. Big thing, that,
plenty of guards all around with a keen eye on your every move, and
full of unfortunate souls like myself. Just that they do naught but sit
all day and sob and generally be no great help when it comes to doing
the Great Escape. But not me, no sir! I showed them Germans, I did, and
I was out of their fashionable high security “he who comes here, stays
here” camp in no time. You wanna hear that story? Bet you do!

Description:
The year is 1942, and you are a prisoner of war, incarcerated in a German camp.
How will you escape? Guards patrol the camp day and night, but by watching their
movements and becoming familiar with the daily routine, and exploring the layout
of the camp, you can work out how to minimise your chances of being detected -
and if you are caught, you'll be placed in solitary confinement for a while, and
any objects you are carrying will be confiscated. This game is regarded as a
classic, but the CPC version is unfortunately a Spectrum port, and it suffers
accordingly. The concept is original, but the isometric graphics are displayed
in a single colour, and the scrolling is very slow indeed. As a result, it takes
ages to move from one place to another.

Great giana sisters
Hardware: C64
Visualizza
Titolo originale:Great Giana Sisters
Year: 1987 Rainbow Arts/Time Warp Productions
Genre: Arcade - Platform (scrolling screen)
Lang: English
Description:
This game is one of the most beloved C64 games ever, not to mention one
of the few starring female heroes. Some people even have so special
feelings about this game, that they go on placing the sisters all over
their web site But enough about that.
This game is a platform game starring not the fabolous Baker Boys, but
the Great Giana sisters which are Giana and Maria. Now, these two young
ladies jump around, collecting stars by running over them or knocking
the head on special goody boxes (imagine the headache they must have
when you get to level 20!) Some of these goody boxes contain special
items that make it possible for the twisted sisters to break bricks
with their skulls, or shoot the monsters instead of jumping on them, or
all sorts of nice things. Now, this sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Nintendo did think so, and therefore they forced the sisters off the
market, so that everybody should run to the shop and buy their pack of
Italian plummers instead.
Now, you might wonder why Nintendo should bother kicking the sisters off the market.
Time Warp was never even remotely close to being as big as the Nintendo
cleaning division for one thing, and, both secondly and sadly, the NES
had the upper hand on the C64 already at this time.
Because the sisters really kick some butt. Accompanied by some nicely
created backgrounds, the challenges you are out up to in this game are
just as though as you want them to be. In addition, there's also those
extra secrets that are only revealed for those playing the game an
excessive number of times - things like level warp boxes, hidden
treasure chambers and so on. This game deserves a lot of time
spent on it, and it's sad to think that it wasn't allowed to go on and
compete with the Mario bros. on the market.
