From Croatia came this overhead view football game resembling "Sensible Soccer".
The standard selection of competitions are on offer, with a full range of
club and national competitions.
Far more moves are possible in this one though, including overhead kicks,
backheelers, riding tackles and even some impressive overhead kicks,
all of which need practice to be perfected. Passing works in a similar
way to Sensible, but requiring a longer tap, and giving more
versatility in where the pass is placed. Extra details such as an
on-screen referee and a zoom feature on replays are included. Kits can
be edited in more detail than most games of the time as well.

Football Glory is an interesting Sensible Soccer
clone that falls far short of that classic due to insipid gameplay and
poor controls. The game offers many options, from World cup to European
championships through to domestic leagues. You can even edit your own
club and create your own leagues/cups with as many teams as you like
and either play against the computer or against your friends. Developer
Croteam at the time set out to challenge the then mighty Sensible Soccer
with improvements to the tried-and-true gameplay such as bicycle
kicks, an after touch, and a lot of other features.

The latter two can still be modified as required during matches which are
presented in a new "realitymode", one of bigger changes from previous
installments of the series. Instead of just seeing a pre-calculated textual
representation of the match, little pixelated player now move around the field
and you can see where the ball is going and adopt your strategy accordingly.

This was the original football management game, and it was written a long
time ago. You start in the 4th Division and must make your way towards the top of the 1st
Division (remember, this was before the Premier League was formed!). There aren't that many
options available, but you can buy and sell players and change the names of your team and
players, as well as deciding which players to use. Although the match highlights are awful,
they don't last too long. This game is certainly showing its age, though, and a lot of
other football management games have been released since then.
